Possible 18th St gang member cased my house Sunday night.

Shortly after midnight Sunday night, a young male who I believe was an 18th st gang member, cased my house for probably 20 minutes. I didn't know until I reviewed my footage probably 45 minutes later. He spent a lot of time going up and down the stairs and around my house looking for a way to break in without being caught on camera. He also tried to open my electric panel after seeing the nest cams.

I reported it to Post as soon as I found out and no one came out. This is an issue I've had with them before so would be good to know if anyone else has experienced the same. Will send SLO Eubanks an email as well.

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to update everyone on the situation. I spoke with Dennis Mealey at Post, as well as Robert, the patrol driver in charge of our area. They will be significanly stepping up their presence on the hill, as well as the steps, which have been neglected. Dennis really expressed a zero tolerance attitude to allowing these sorts of criminals to walk so casually around our neighborhood. You should see a noticeable increase of surveillance up here. So... that's definitely something positive that has come out of all of this.

I was also contacted by Detective Jurado and SLO Eubanks. Detective Jurado is with the gang division and is working with other people in the department to try to identify and apprehend the suspect.

Will post another update if I find out anyting else.
