This Thanksgiving we reflect on our history. Locally, Marie Dressler (Milner Road/Iris Circle) was cast in numerous films with neighbors.

1914 "Tillies Punctured Romance" Charlie Chaplin (Iris Drive) seated with Mabel Normand. Mable's husband Lew Cody lived at 1979 Grace Avenue.

1928 "The Patsy" with Marion Davies who lived on Whitley Terrace.

1930 "Anna Christie" with Greta Garbo who took up residence on Watsonia Terrace.

The puppy with big paws, a hearty smile and Humphrey Bogart eyebrows lay resting in the street outside a drugstore with its half-drunk owner. No doubt it was those, his Bogart eyebrows, that got him noticed by one Dick Lovell, Hollywood casting agent. Dick chided the man with the the puppy at his side.

Robert Lee has both a creative and technical mind. He studied in graphic design and law at Notre Dame. The website committee contacted him a year ago to build this Wix platform. He listened, engaged, suggested, humored, taught, and worked tirelessly on behalf of our community. No detail was too small. For example, on the Stars Page, Robert made sure that the picture we used of Bozo was actually Vance Colvig. Who does that?

In addition to his IT work, Robert is an actor. You can see him in an upcoming episode of Wisdom of the Crowd (Oct. 15), the Amazon series 2nd season of “Goliath” and an upcoming McDonald’s commercial featuring the phrase “It’s 7:22".
