We have big news! We just posted the rest of Theo’s November 2022 concert with ‘cellist Jerome Kessler. It is at theoprimes.com under ‘Cello and Piano. There were three pieces plus an encore. We previously posted the Baroque Berteau/Sammartini ‘Cello Sonata and the magnificent and poetic Schubert Arpeggione Sonata. We just added the powerful and exciting ‘Cello and Piano Sonata by Richard Strauss. As the Schubert is among the most challenging for the ‘cellist, the Strauss is challenging for the pianist. The encore written by ‘cellist Jerome Kessler is entitled For Fred and dedicated to Jerry’s friend Fred Katz. It is both charming and short (5 minutes). These were all filmed and recorded live during a benefit concert at our Hollywood home to raise funds for neighborhood historical preservation and beautification. At the performers’ request, a few short re-takes were recorded and inserted into the recordings to make them happy. Even though these were filmed on extremely sharp 4K video, most internet connections can’t handle 4K without pausing during the performance so we strongly recommend viewing at 1080 (hi def).
