Traffic/Street Closures This Week End...
Attention HHWNC Stakeholders,
This weekend, there will be multiple street closures and we're expecting a lot of traffic congestion in and around the Hollywood area.
On Saturday June 23rd, the annual Los Angeles Culture Festival and Parade is taking place on Hollywood Blvd, with a full street closure of Hollywood Blvd from Western Avenue to Highland Avenue beginning at approximately 10:00 AM and lasting until approximately 5:00 PM.
There will be traffic control officers and safety personnel throughout the area.
More information on the route and the event can be found here: https://www.laculturefestival.com/events-2
If you have questions, comments, or concerns regarding this event or the permitting process, I encourage you to contact:
Keron Adams with Los Angeles Culture Festival (event organizer) at laculturefest@gmail.com / (310) 800-3272,
Sgt. Jose Correa with Los Angeles Police Commission (permitting agency) at 25871@lapd.online / (213) 486-0621,
and/or Dan Halden with Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell's office at daniel.halden@lacity.org / (213) 207-3015.
On Sunday June 24th and Monday June 25th, Hollywood Blvd (b/w Highland and Orange) will be closed for a movie premiere.
On both nights, there are also events at the Hollywood Bowl AND the Ford Theatre.
There will be additional signage and traffic control officers (more so than normal) in the area to help direct vehicles in an efficient manner, but traffic delays are to be expected.
LADOT has advised that all unnecessary travel in the area bound by the following streets be avoided if possible on Sunday and Monday: North: Barham Boulevard South: Sunset Boulevard East: Cahuenga Boulevard West: La Brea Avenue
Please share this information with your neighbors and help spread the word.
Thank You, Danielle Mead Transportation Chair Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council
