It was confirmed last Saturday at the SB 827 Town Hall with Sen.Scott Weiner, and again this past week at a Whitley Heights/Hollywood Grove/Melrose Hill  HPOZ  meeting, by Office of Historic Resources HPOZ reps, that HPOZ's  will no longer be protected if SB 827  passes. HPOZ homes are not 'landmark' protected.  There are also 'non contributing' homes in most HPOZ's..

SB 827 will override local zoning even within HPOZ's. Vacant lots, any vacated parcels, in 'transit rich' single family neighborhoods and HPOZ's will be up-zoned to allow 4-10 story SB 827 developments.

No city hearings, no neighborhood council or community input, no CEQA, no EIR's (environmental impact reports), no design restrictions, no parking required.
