Recently Police Officer Brian White met with representatives of the Dream Hotel on Selma Avenue, where rooftop noise has gotten very loud late at night. This is the message that Ethan Weaver, the city attorney's neighborhood prosecutor for the Hollywood area, wrote to update residents about what is going on about their complaints.

Brian and a few other LAPD officers met with Dream management on Dec. 9 to address the noise issue. I wasn't present but from speaking with Brian there were two promising developments.

First, Dream management indicated that they had already begun developing a new noise mitigation system during the winter months that should be in place by the time the rooftop party season begins next spring.

Second, Dream management was willing to provide neighbors a direct line to make noise complaints so they can adjust.
