Encampment fire Tuesday night
Just before 8a yesterday morning while driving my kid to school, after coming down Emmet where Las Palmas hits Franklin, I'm usually greeted with the sight of 2 large homeless structures. But this time they were evicting them. The structure on the left was pretty much packed up where as the one on the right was working much slower.
Fast forward 20 minutes. On my way home from school drop off, garbage trucks were packing up the remains of the left structure but the one on the right was still packing.
Fast forward to 415p. I leave for school pickup and am pleasantly surprised to see that the left structure has been replace with bushes and trees but the right one still has a lot of work to do.
Now a little after 8p the right structure is fully engulfed by fire. Coincidence?

Silver lining, a little before 8a today, garbage trucks were packing up the charred remains and 20 minutes later upon return there was a guy planting bushes and trees.
Perhaps the resident of the structure on the right just wanted to amend the soil.

My neighbor was driving by there last night and saw a homeless guy setting it all on fire. She called 911 for the fire dept.
