Vigil Tonight, WED June 3, 2020  at 9:00PM

In the heyday of old Hollywood, beams from searchlights would sweep the night sky to signal the entire City that an important event was happening. 

Here's a respectful and safe way you can honor the memory of George Floyd and call attention to the circumstances of his death, while still observing the curfew. 

At 9:00 pm tonight, for exactly 8 minutes and 46 seconds, step outside your home, on your front porch, back yard, deck or roof, and shine a flashlight or emergency light into the sky.

That's the amount of time that Floyd had a knee on his neck, while pleading for his life.

A light in the darkness symbolizes hope. Let's fill the sky with light tonight.
