The Here and Now...

A year ago tonight.

A young jogger lay unconscious on Wedgewood around 8:00 pm. Trick-or-treaters found him and called 911. Terry Maloy was present when the ambulance arrived. He posted his eyewitness account on this website (October 31, 2017). Neighborhood awareness lead to meeting two friends of Ryan's. They were walking the streets, talking to residents, trying to piece together what happened. My husband and I spoke with them. We exchanged contact info and I stayed in touch.

Today, I received this touching email.

"Hi Patty,

We haven't met yet but you did interact with my sister over email last year. I am the one that had an aneurysm while jogging last Halloween night and was found by trick-or-treaters and Terry Maloy.

My recovery from the fall last year took some time but I'm now doing great. Thanks so much for your kind words to my sister and family while I was recovering. I'd love to have a chance to meet Terry in person to thank him for being there while I was taken into the ambulance last halloween.

Thank you and Happy Halloween.

Ryan"

Such good news. Ryan is a grateful individual who has given Whitley Heights the opportunity to celebrate his recovery.
