Triangle Cleared - Fence Up

The Blue Star Memorial site is important to our community and our country. Restoring respect for Veterans was a top priority for Deputy City Attorney, Ethan Weaver. Today, he made good on his goal.

The degradation of this busy, symbolic corridor stirs an emotional response. Neighbors lose sleep over the fate of small businesses as well as the jacaranda tree.


This morning car horns honked with approval as a crew disassembled the encampment. The Holly Hill Terrace text tree had no down-time. FaceBook posts glowed.


Senior Lead Officers Annabelle Eubank and Jesse Rubalcava supervised the process. General Services Department crew installed a chainlink fence around the perimeter. Simultaneously, a new irrigation system replaced the old one.


Luis, an eye-witness, commented that anyone who refused to leave the park was politely ushered into a white van. No Trespassing signs are hard to miss: "Violators will be prosecuted."
