Impressions of Whitley Heights
Bob and Theo Primes settled in Whitley Heights in 1978. They co-hosted the Kids' Halloween Party with Jim Geoghan for 25 years. They generously allow us to gather on their patio for annual meetings. Theo did a sell-out sonata salon series with piano/cello. Bob is a talented cinematograoher and photographer. To celebrate our centennial, Bob created a beautiful six minute tribute to our historic neighborhood chosen from photos he's been taking for decades.
Please go to bobprimes.com, then open up "slide shows", pick "Impressions of Whitley Heights", turn on the "full screen" X-shaped icon, turn up your sound, and play the piece. Bach's D Major Organ Fugue is sublime.
Some images will be new to you. Others nostalgic. Some will be tranquil. Others rousing. Regardless, be prepared to feel your heart jump for joy. The film begs to be watched over and over. (He built the site for computers, not for the much smaller screens on phones.)
A hearty thank you, Bob, for this splendid gift to the community.
