Milner closure for Hollywood Bowl traffic

I live on Whitley Ter on Sun Aug 5th I walked down to Bonair and Whitley Ter around 7 PM h there was a none stop line of traffic on Whitley and Bonair heading towards Milner.  It appeared most cars were ride share.  I observed many turning around at Milner but a good many were letting of passengers at Milner.  Is that corner now the defacto drop off location when you close Milner?  Did anybody do an informal survey? Here are some of the shortcomings of this experiment.

  • No barricade or sign at Bonair and Whitley

  • No barricade on Whitley Ter and Franklin (did not check Grace and Franklin)

I'm all for restricting access and closing Milner at Highland, but... From my observation at there was much more traffic on Whitley and Bonair than other Bowl nights.  Perhaps you can tweak the closure to stop or reduce the ride share.  Maybe a solution could be an official drop off point with a free shuttle? I love the Bowl and go often (walk) and I appreciate the fact that you are trying to control the cut through traffic.  Please continue...

I love the fact that you appreciate the bowl and that it was here first. Be Patient and remember the Bowl and the City are working on a solution. Both parties informed the adjacent neighborhoods that the pilot program closing access to ride share services. Both Milner and Camrose would be closed on 4 nights durthe pilot. A post card was sent to all homes in the area prior. If you found a surplus of Uber or Lift cars during this period please immediately report to both the Bowl representative and Councilman Ryu's office. It sounds like the n8ght you reference was not one on the pilot nights and a call to both the Bowland The Councilman would be beneficial You are welcome to attend the next neighborhood meeting to express your support for a better solution and let us know how they responded .Thanks for stepping up and getting engaged!
