Herman J Schultheis Collection
Schultheis was born in Germany in 1900 and immigrated to the United States in 1927 after obtaining a Ph.D. in mechanical and electrical engineering. He worked in the Walt Disney Studios from 1937 to 1940, notably on Fantasia, Bambi, Dumbo, and Pinocchio. He was an avid photographer who traveled the world with his camera. Reminiscent of "The Man Who Photographed the World" resident, Burton Holmes.
Today it remains an empty lot. 6688 Whitley Terrace was built in 1966. The HPOZ was adopted by City Council in 1992..
