Whitley Heights water pipeline replacement is moving right along. The city budgeted 1.2 million for this four-phase project. DWP engineers are discussing ways to make it go even faster. Patching in cement has been a dream come true. Our property values are enhanced by better infrastructure and street surfaces.

This morning a DWP crew member placed cards on numerous car windshields near 6672 Whitley Terrace alerting owners to please move their vehicles or be towed. Bold red and white signs that read NO PARKING 6:30 am to 4:00 pm mean business. Be neighborly, tell everyone looking for an easy parking space near the Whitley Steps how unwise it is to ignore these signs.

* Release fees from impoundment yards start at $300.

* Hollywood Bowl Lot D is available temporarily during the week. Not weekends.

* Street sweeping will remain relaxed in Whitley Heights (Iris Circle side included) until work is completed.
