DWP UPDATE

Here is an update from DWP engineer Matthew Gonzalez regarding the waterline repairs: "Our crews have already completed the installation of the waterline. Our remaining focus is finishing up 2 final water connections on Milner and Wedgewood, 1 fire hydrant, and connecting 10 services. We are shooting to complete this work by the end of next week or early July."

He noted that the patience and support of WHCA and the community has been "extremely valuable" to completing this project and that without the help of WHCA, the outcome could have been much different. He closed by saying that "it has been a pleasure to have worked with WHCA and the community."

So, thank you ALL for your patience during these months of construction. Whitley Heights is so much better off now that we have all new waterlines!

These guys have been great! Considerate, friendly and very professional. It's the kind of thing that makes paying my extravigant bi-monthly DWP bill a bit less painless. I'm going to miss not having to move my car for street cleaning days. Perhaps, since almost every house on the hill has a gardener, we might consider making it permanent... the street cleaners really don't do that much, especially if we can all keep an eye on the curbs in front of our homes and make certain they're cleaned up once a week.
