This is what we hear. Legislators are amazed at how well organized all our groups have been. Contacting them has mattered. We must continue to do so. Supporters of these bills are doing just that. Here is the schedule: SB9 & SB 10 are now both waiting for floor votes. The vote could be this Thursday, Aug 26th but may not be. If they are not taken up for a vote Thursday then the situation is as follows:

From Aug 30th-Sept 10 they can come up for a vote anytime. Our legislators are being lobbied hard for their yes votes and we need to counter that with a lot of daily constituent emails. Here is the plan....

Next to social media ( if you are good at it, post on it) our advisors tell us that emailing to district offices is the next best tool. We need to get our members activated, sending emails to legislators. We need to do this on a daily basis from the 30th on. Just a small email that can be sent to different legislators every day.

If your legislator is a "no" vote, send emails thanking them for their position. Any legislator in your immediate area should be sent emails.

(Assemblymembers Bloom, Nazarian, Senator Ben Allen, etc.) We have areas where we have no United Neighbors groups, let's target them as well. Their vote affects all of us.

The bills took on amendments, they will have to go back to the house of origin for final vote. Let's start reaching out to our Senators ( SB 9, SB 10, SB 478) and our Assmblymembers ( AB1401) Let them know you are still opposing these bills as amended. If you need any materials let us know.
