August 13 - Sunday's puppet show in the picnic grove behind the Hollywood Heritage Museum drew over 30 children and 40 adults. Alex and Cain have mastered the ancient art bringing dolls on strings to life.

The morning began with Councilmember David Ryu thanking SLO Manny Sanchez and neighborhood prosecutor Steve Houchin for their commitment to keeping our community safe.

Alice Roth, Senior Deputy in CD4 remembers going to see Bob Baker's Marionettes when she was in 5th grade. The theatre started in 1963. It utilzes over 2,000 hand-crafted puppets.

Kids of all ages were mezmerized by the steady array of characters that included leaping frogs and a girlie bird dancing in a fringed dress.

Balloons, ice cream, and waters were handed out at the end of the show. It was a wonderful use of the park. More events planned in the fall.
