The beautiful, iconic Montecito was nominated by The Art Deco Society of Los Angeles for historic designation..

It is already a National Historic Cultural Monument ....HCM

This is for local designation which will 'up' it's profile and give it better protections to retain its architectural and historic integrity.

It made it through The Cultural Heritage Commission for this Historic Designation, and now it goes to PLUM Committee tomorrow at 2:30PM (Item # 6 on the Agenda)
