Dear Neighbors,

As you may know, the residential building under construction at 1840 Highland Avenue (at the intersection of Highland and Franklin Avenues) is almost complete.

As part of the improvements to the residential building under construction at 1840 Highland Avenue (at the intersection of Highland and Franklin Avenues), the Department of Water and Power requires the owner to improve the existing utility conduit beneath Highland Avenue between Franklin Place and Franklin Avenue which requires a temporary two-lane closure.

To reduce the impact to the community and minimize transportation impacts, the majority of the work will be conducted overnight, which significantly reduces the duration of construction.

Demolition work will only occur on Saturdays.

Traffic control measures will begin north of Hollywood Boulevard and stop at Franklin Avenue during the following times:

Demolition: Saturdays (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.), starting November 9, 2019

Night work: Monday through Friday (10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.); starting November 11, 2019

Every effort will be made to complete the work as quickly as possible with the least impact to you.
