Dear Stakeholders,

Just a reminder that the Transportation Committee will be holding a meeting this Thursday to review and discuss the HCPU2 as it relates to transportation, including traffic circulation, parking, public transit and bicycling.

I encourage you to attend and share any feedback or changes you’d like to see.

This is our chance to tell LA City Planning what kind of Hollywood we want to live in and shape the future of our city. Please review the Transportation & Connectivity section of the Plan (Chapter 6) prior to the meeting so that we can have a productive discussion.

What is the Hollywood Community Plan?

The Hollywood Community Plan is a blueprint for guiding change in Hollywood and contains policies reflecting a future vision for neighborhoods and designates land for the range of uses needed, including jobs, housing, transportation, open space and amenities. The Community Plan shapes where we live, shop, work, learn and play by providing the basis for where and what type of buildings are constructed, and regulating how those buildings are used.

The Plan tells everyone the types of development permitted, at what densities and intensities, and outline strategies for how to accommodate anticipated growth.

Plans are used to guide decision-making when development projects are proposed. For these reasons, Community Plans are critical for decision makers and it is important that the Plans are up-to-date. I hope to see you at the meeting!

Regards,

Danielle Mead
