In the last two years, Southern California has added three new mosquito species to the more than 40 currently living in the State. They are aggressive. As a reminder, mosquitos are still breeding. Because of the heat, the cycle has not slow down. All that is needed is a bottle cap of water for a mosquito to lay eggs. Eggs can remain active for up to two years. When water hits, they hatch. Midway into fall, please check your patio, balcony and yard plant dishes and dump any standing water.
