Hollywood Community Plan Update http://www.hhwnc.org/hollywood-community-plan/ Below are AGENDA items that were discussed and voted on by our Area 3 (WH is Area 3) stakeholders and others in attendance at  last week's  Wed., Nov 11th Area 3, 4, etc., HCPU Ad Hoc Committee meeting. The Motions are on HHWNC Agenda for this Wed., Nov. 18th for a full board vote, to include in their letter to the city representing their communites with regards to the HCPU.. There are proposals for our HHWNC  Area 3, in the Hollywood Community Plan Update, to all be UPZONED, for more Area 3 densification, and larger projects. UPZONED, with no Community, or Neighborhood Council participation, or right to 'appeal' projects.. The Motions below are for the city to include NC's, repping their communities, in project reviews, as they are included now. Please try to attend and support the Motions.

8.Vice President’s Report (Orrin Feldman) a) Processes & Procedures Ordinance Release The Planning Department issued a Processes and Procedures Ordinance Rerelease on November 10th. The proposed ordinance's rerelease is the City's latest attempt to streamline the administrative procedures which the Planning Department uses when reviewing proposed projects which include discretionary entitlement requests. If the ordinance is adopted, the ordinance would change who gets notified about proposed projects, which proposed projects will be reviewed administratively, rather than at public hearing, and how appeals may be made. Committee Reports.... a) Area 3....Brian Dyer (Whitley Heights is Area 3) HCPU2 Ad Hoc Committee.... Area 3 / Area 4 / Housing /Infrastructure... (Meeting was Wed. Nov. 11th) ii. Stakeholder update and Motion on proposed HCPU2’s “Community Plan Implementation Overlays.”(CPIOs)        (Hollywood Draft CPIO 2020 posted on HHWNC website...http://www.hhwnc.org/hollywood-community-plan/) Motion:   That the Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council... 1.) Oppose the “Review Procedures for Projects Involving Eligible Historic Resource’s Determination”.... that the Director of Planning has final, unappealable judgement on what is Historic and what is not without a process for neighborhood input, and.. 2) That there, by an oversight board including, but not limiting, members to City Chartered Neighborhood Councils, Hollywood Heritage, the LA Conservancy, Neighboring HPOZs, Homeowner Associations, and other affected interested parties. iii. Request any CPIO projects be reviewable by an oversight board including, but not limiting members to City Chartered Neighborhood Councils, Hollywood Heritage, the LA Conservancy, Neighboring HPOZs and Homeowner Associations, and other affected interested parties.
