L.A. Conservancy..Please act now! L.A.'s historic resources are at risk. OPPOSE Planning's 40% Fee Hikes

Please act now! L.A.'s historic resources are at risk.
The City Administrative Officer (CAO) is proposing to raise L.A. City Planning fees by nearly 40 percent in an attempt to recover costs associated with various planning services that include historic preservation, appeals, commissions, zoning, and many others.
If adopted as proposed, the fee hike will limit public participation, harm the preservation program, and undermine the City's efforts to effectively engage BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) communities.
The Los Angeles City Council’s Planning and Land Use Management (PLUM) Committee will review the proposed Department of City Planning Comprehensive Fee Update for planning and land use services at its meeting tomorrow, Tues. April 6, 2021, at 2 p.m.

Please voice your opposition to the proposed fee hike!

1. EMAIL your City Council Representative and PLUM Committee Chair Marqueece Harris-Dawson. Make sure your email subject line reads: 'Oppose Fee Hike for Historic Preservation (Council File 09-0969-S3).'
