Starbucks closed
Starbucks in the mini mall at Franklin and Highland closed on Thursday, June 30. Employees at the coffee shop said it was because Starbucks was concerned about the workers' safety there. There were a lot of homeless in the area and a lot of weapons, one employee said. "It's never boring around here," he noted.
On June 8, police shot a robbery suspect near Highland and Franklin. The area was blocked off for several hours.
