'ELDP' to Allow Massive Crossroads Skyscrapers - L.A. PLUM Committee Public Hearing Jan. 15th....
Hello to everyone who has been discussing over the past several months the use of "Environmental Leadership Development Project" (ELDP) law, a Jerry Brown disaster, to justify GHG-spewing, traffic-congesting, neighborhood-killing, skyscrapers. ('Millennium Vine Resurrected' is also using ELDP to justify their oversized skyscrapers on Vine)
Please come on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 2:30pm in City Hall Council Chambers (Room 340)...200 N. Spring St., to say a few choice words to the city's PLUM committee, about the plan by developer Harridge, on land owned by La Kretz, that has for decades contained a wonderful longtime residential and family neighborhood, all planned to be demoed..between Selma Ave. and Sunset, and Las Palmas to Highland. The 3 Crossroads towers would shatter the only rule preventing Mitch O'Farrell and Eric Garcetti from their dream of wiping out the residential Hollywood flatlands and residential Hollywood neighborhoods for skyscrapers.
I worked for six years in one of the few historic buildings ( of many) that will not be razed by the Crossroads triple towers, and additional oversized buildings, the fantastic LA Weekly building, which will be preserved due to recent *historical designation.
I don't need to tell you that the massive project will back up traffic in the whole area even more, on Selma, Sunset, Highland, Wilcox, Cahuenga, Hollywood Blvd., etc. well onto the 101, in all directions from Sunset, spew GHG into the air, and give the lie to "ELDP" as a great thing for climate change.
Please join us for the Public PLUM Committee Meeting at City Hall..Tuesday, Jan.15, 2019...City Hall, Room 340...2:30PM
We feel a good turn out could make a difference, given that PLUM is nervous amidst the continuing coverage of the PLUM Chair, Jose Huizar scandal and FBI investigation.
The Real Deal is currently investigating 'pay to play' in Los Angeles.
The L.A. Times has yet another story in the works.

(*All other historic buildings from Las Palmas to Highland, that have been nominated for historic designation by The Cultural Heritage Commission, have been rejected by (developer funded) CD13, and will be demoed.
In addition to the Crossroads skyscrapers and many other additional buildings in the Crossroads projects, from Las Palmas to Highland, four more hotels are going up on Selma Ave. within two blocks between Schrader and Cahuenga in addition to the already traffic inducing Dream Hotel and Mama
Shelter Hotel.
