All Fireworks in the City of Los Angeles are Illegal
The LAFD reminds residents that a zero-tolerance policy exists for the use and sale of illegal fireworks. Misdemeanor penalties can include up to a year in county jail and/or fines of up to $5,000. Possessing large qualities of dangerous fireworks can be charged as a felony. A conviction can result in a fine up to $50,000 and jail time.
Fireworks are both illegal in the City and pose a threat to our wildlife and parks. Here’s a roundup of fireworks shows where you can have a safer, more accessible experience.
