'Californians for Community Planning' Ballot Initiative

Please join us Saturday at 10 a.m. to hear from the proponents of Californians for Community Planning, a statewide initiative aiming for November 2022 ballot that Livable California has endorsed.
The initiative is the brainchild of a group of Californians from across the state, led by Redondo Beach Mayor Bill Brand, whose city contains 11,000 people per square mile but is under intense pressure from the state to “upzone.”
And so is yours!
The measure was written to ensure that all decisions regarding local land-use controls, including zoning regulations, are made by the affected communities in accordance with applicable law. If passed by voters, the initiative would give California’s 482 municipalities the power to undo the damage caused by bills like SB 330, SB 35, SB 9 and SB 10.
