Hollywood Community Plan Update (HCPU) is scheduled to be heard by the City Planning Commission (CPC) on Thursday, February 18th, 2021.  

CPC is the last stop before city council votes on the HCPU2.

Dear Hollywood Stakeholder, The City Planning Commission meeting and public hearing for the Hollywood Community Plan Update is scheduled for Thursday, February 18, 2021. The Plan Update addresses the long-term vision for land use, mobility, historic preservation, and open space in Hollywood through the year 2040. Land use and zone changes will support development and affordable housing around transit systems, improve pedestrian design, and protect historic resources.  City Planning held a virtual Open House, and a Public Hearing for the City Planning Commission on December 9, 2020 and heard from stakeholders who gave additional input on the Plan. The Public Hearing on February 18 will consider further changes based on input received in December. The proposed changes would designate additional hillside properties as Open Space, change the zoning of some properties in the Media District area, and change the zoning of properties in the proposed Regional Center from C4 to C2. In addition, clarification of the relationship between the Hollywood Redevelopment Plan and the Hollywood Community Plan Update is proposed.
