Pride In Community

On October 23rd at 9:30 am over 30 neighbors met at the chess table for Clean Sweep. The Whitley Terrace/Wedgewood Place sound wall is longer than a football field. Pruning these unruly shrubs was a mammoth undertaking. Nobody shied away.

All done. Once home adults swallowed pain-relief medicine. Many took hot baths and rubbed Bengay on tired muscles. The children wanted ice cream.

Fred Morrow, center, made Clean Sweep 2021 a triumph. For starters he organized LA Conservation Corps who hauled away four truckloads of debris. Thank you, Fred.

Whitley Heights has always been, and continues to be, a community like none other.

Bob Primes captured this day in an amazing photo series. Still working on how to upload them in a file for neighbors to click on and enjoy. Stay tuned for the next newsletter.
