Please be aware that Kawika Barrett is back in Whitley Heights. Our community continues to be a familiar place for him to stay.

Mr. Barrett has been trespassing and interacting with neighbors. He is often angry. Approximately three years ago he was taken into custody after an attempted break-in on Whitley Terrace.

We believe he was receiving treatment in a County mental health facility.

The CIRCLE Team and Hollywood LAPD have been contacted and are responsive. CIRCLE spoke to Mr. Barrett on Friday evening August 21st. He declined help.

Officer Ruiz writes:

Please advise your neighbors to call 911 if he becomes violent or if he attempts or lights something on fire. Photos and videos of those incidents are always helping for prosecution purposes if necessary.
